The Students experienced the functioning of a research institute in enhancing productivity and utilization of such crops. Dr. Ateek Ullah, a scientist at the research center gave an introduction about different branches at ICAR-IIHR's and courses offered by them. An FDP on Flip learning was conducted on Aug 8th 2020. Mr. Rajkumar S Pant highlighted the concept of emergency online teaching which is artificially imposed due to Covid-19. He explained to us about the traditional classroom & Flipped classroom and further stated how flipped classroom helps to improve the quality of teaching and learning by both the teachers and students. The session was very useful as it gave an insight to make the online teaching effective and interactive. The session concluded by Questionnaires and ensured Flipped classroom technique.
NSAM had organized an online Faculty development program on June 25 2020. Ms. Shashikala R P, Theme Centred Interaction (TCI) highlighted on the aspects of classroom control, effective teaching and stressed on the topic of emotional health vs mental health. She also explained about the crisis "Covid-19"- theory of Grief and loss and to handle this difficult situation.
NSAM PU College had organised online counselling session for Science and Commerce students for two days on May 18th and 19th 2020. Dr. Shailaja Shastri addressed them and the students shared their concerns about the Corona virus pandemic. She guided the students to be safe at home by practicing certain preventive measure such as maintaining cleanliness, use of sanitizer, wearing mask and if any health issues should consent the doctor immediately, as it is known to us "Prevention is better than cure".
